Club elections are coming! 

Add something new to your professional resume, reach out of your comfort zone, be involved with the youth of our skating community and beyond.    We are looking for adults to become board members of the club and contribute to the growth of Cascade Valley Figure Skating Club!  There are several board positions coming up for elections and we want YOU!

There are many ways that you can contribute, no experience necessary.  The board meetings are usually bi monthly or according to need.  We  are in the learning process and all ideas are welcome!

The club is still in the process of applying for a  Charitable Organization Status with the IRS.  This takes coordination of time and we could use any volunteer accountant skills! This classification will aid us in the future to solicit for funds to  create scholarships and substantial competition stipends for our full club members.

This last year we have completed our first full year as a full member club with United States Figure Skating Club!  We have grown from 45 members to over 75!  We contributed to another successful Holiday Gala Show in December and members were  successful at Nothwest Pacific Regionals and even at Jr. Nationals!

What an exciting year!

As I write this, I am in route to Phoenix, Arizona for a mandatory seminar for Club Management.  I will be returning with many ideas from clubs from across the Western part of the US...and  possibly nation wide.  We can expect to have more growth this next year and all the knowledge we can accumulate the better.

Program Development is high on the list of  areas that the club can begin to build on and being a board member will allow you to be on the cutting edge of Cascade Valley’s development.

I look forward to another successful year and watch all the young skaters coming up,  gain the skills and confidence to compete in the upcoming competition year and qualifying to compete at Regionals,  Sectionals,  Jr. Nationals or Nationals!
